CASUALTIES
At about 6 p.m. on "Wednesday, at Waikuku, motor-cars driven by Mr Harold Greenwood, of Omihi, and j\lr J. Kelly, of tho Land Valuation I>opartment, Christchureh, collided. Mrs Greenwood, who was riding in tho front seat of her husband's car, was thrown out, and suffered a broken collarbone, the other occupants of the cars, one of whom was Mr V. G. Day, S.M., escaping without injury. Both, cars wero rather badly damaged as a result of the collision.

WAIMATE, July 8. Henry James Shaw, aged 14, died at the hospital to-day, as the result of an | injury received t>y smashing into a i fencfc while tobogganing in the snow at ' Waihao Downs, on Juno 2"/ th. '< DUNEDIX, July 8. ; A boy two years of ago, named Henry ilollo Floury, who was staying with friends of his parents, was run oyer by a horse and cart at Caversham , tiiis afternoon. He was sent to the I hospital without delay, but died before reaching tho institution.
