Intending investors in the new timber enterprise—The Great Western Timber Company, Ltd —should not allow themselves to be influenced by certain statements emanating from persons directly interested Tn opposition timber mills. It is only to be expected that thje open-ing-up of a large area of magnificent forest, such as that controlled by the "G.W.T." in South Westland, should disturb those who are benefiting by the existing shortage of timber and the increasing public demand. They pe;ce : vo that abundant supplies of good timber" from Okarito will -in a large measure meet the requirements of the Dominion, and-therefore they can_ be_ expected to combat the new enterprise in every way possible.
