CONFERENCE IN LONDON. (By Cable —Pre«s Association —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z, Cable Association.) LONDON, July 5. The British Empire Timber Exhibition opened in London by l'rinco Arthur of Connaught was a representative collection. Prince Arthur urged the lmportance of encouraging afforostatiou. Every Dominion required a far-sighted policy of forest conservation. The war had taught us the large part that timber played in the equipment and movement of armies. He welcomed tho members of tho Empire Forestry Conference, which is discussing the whole question of forestry.
