NEW SYSTEM OF CHARGING. OXE PROGRESSIVE FTTIM TAKES A FOIIWAIID STEP. T!ii.' c!J .ami present system of a flat rate for resoling a pair of boots was\ all wiit'll the charge was low, but' the higher w:i«ps and dearer leather of to-dny li'is increased the flat rate to a point when it is obviously unfair to charge ih<> man -who wears a number six boot. the same as the man with a number eleven, and that is tho position of to-day. At last 0110 boot firm—» firm well known for their progressive and fair business methods—has taken a step in tho right direction, and now base their charges for resoling nnd repairing on the coat of the actual leather used, and not on a printed schedulo of prices. Wo refer to Messrs Cough and Son, of High street, City, nnd Colombo street (opposite Supply Stores), Sydenham, who, with tho well-equipped and fully-staffed manufactory, are in a position to lead in both the question of price and quality of workmanship. Orders mav be left at any of their _rotail establishment?, and a firm price, based on the quality and quantity of leather used, is quoted when you leave your boots for resoling or repairing. 8
