The round-the-table conference in connexion with the Broken Hill strike ended without reaching a settlement, the parties disagreeing on the adjustment of hours. A meeting of Broken Hill strikers adopted a resolution demanding: an increase under the Workmen's Compensation Act to full earning capacity for the victims' of industry. FOKTY-FOUB-HOUR WEEK.
