RANGIORA FIRE BRIGADE.
The fortv-sisth anmial meeting of th« Rflngiora Volunteer Fire Bricrcd-a- was held last evening. There was a full attendance of members, and the Mayor, borough councillors, honorary members, and other© interested in the brigade were yircpcnt. Superintendent A. H. TyleT presided. Tho annual report stated that tn= Brigade had been maintained at full strength throughout the year. Thirteen members .had qualified for the Association's long service honours. The Brigade had only one call during the year, and the firo bein? innrrnifica'nt the engines did not leave tho station. thanks were accorded to tho B°rou?h Council for consideration ehown the Bri-rad^; to Mcs°r-= H. C. P. vnn Aech, and T-T. PulUn?, and the Union Bank fnr contrbutions to tho funds, and to the honorary members and others for support. The balance-sheet showed a debit balance of £G 15s 4d, the receipts bavins been £1S lis 2d, and the expenditure £33 6s Bd. The report and balance-sheet were adapted. Officers were elected as follows: —Senior Foreman, P. Prestney; Junior Foreman, J. 11. Coates; assistant cn?inc-r, J. Skillinp: second assistant engineer, F. Jsclcron: branchman. C. Prestney; junior brnr.chman. J. Thompson; manual en?in~ branchman, E Foubister; committee, J. Ski'linT, C. Vf. Tyler. "W. Butters, P>. Foubister, P. Preotney, a'id A. Prestney; auditors, J. Smith and C. W. Tyler.
Tho long service decorations to in the report presented bv the Mayor as follows:—Additional two years' service bars. Engineer A. Prestney 13 years). Firemen J. H. Coate=. nnd P. -T. Coatcs (each 13 years), C. W. Tvler, J. Thompson. De-puty-Superintendent L. Hill and Branchmit" C, Prestney (each 11 y&ats), and _ Fireman A. H"ndv (3 rears): "(lv« years' fervire medal to Fireman O; .T. Nelmes, and three years' certificates to Firemen F. Jackson, R. Foubi?ter, and E. D. Rove.

The chairman the Brigade's appreciation of the interest taken in i'« welfare- by the Boron?h Council, and his remark? were ccJ: ,l owl' , d'red by the Mayor and ConnoiTlora F. B. Lane, TV. M. Murray, and W. Allison.
On the motion of the Mavor, a vole of thanks was aceoH.ed to the Brigade for its sen-ices to the burcesscs.
•After the meeting closed all wer° entertained at supper in the Brigade's social room.
