« On Saturday afternoon the North Canterbury Gun Club shot of! three live pigeon matches in very cold and boisterous weather. Tho first was a seven bird £1 sweep, in which there were ten competitors. G. Bruore (•21yds) shot all his birds and took the first prizo of £5 Ss; J. Skiliing (25yds) and P. MoCrackon \24yds) killed 6 birds, and divided the second and third, prizes. Tho second match was a 10s evfeep, first miss out, in which there nine competitors. A. Kerr (22yds), L. Kerr (21yds), andC. Truscott (22yds) each shot 3 birds and divided the stakes. Tho final was also a 10s sweep, firet mis 3 out, in which nine competed. J. Skiliing (25yds), .L. Kerr (21yds), andNF. Hickenbottom (24vds) shot 3 birds each, and divided the s'.-.'.ke.
