THE JOCKEYS' DISPUTE. MEETING- WITH SIR GEOEGE CLTFFOKD. "ENTIRELY SATISFACTORY" RESULT. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, May 20. A meeting of representatives of the leading jockeys of the Dominion, who resigned from tho Jockeys' Union, tho president of tho Racing Conference (Sir George Clifford) was held to-day, with the result that certain amendments to tho Rules of Racing will be laid before tho Racing Conference for consideration, and that certain other suggestions will be laid before the racing clubs, regarding conveniences to be afforded to jockeys in purauit of their profession.' It is stated that tho result of the meeting wae entirely satisfactory to all present. (SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON, May 39. It is officially reported that the conference between Sir George Clifford and the representatives of the non-union jockeys was of a very satisfactory character, and resulted in n good understanding between the parties. Tho jockeys' representatives were W. Bell, J. Copcotake, E. Hatch, A. Oliver, A. Reed, and R. Reed, end between them they put tho case for the riders very temperately, and at the same time very clearly. Their proposals veto discussed with the utmoGt freedom and goodwill on both sides, and Sir Gecrgo Clifford undertook to submit to tho Racing Conference several amendments to tho Rules of Racing which it was thought
