The university Congress carried a motion favouring a new matriculation test for adults, differing in character, but not in standard, from the existing test, and available to all over 25. It discussed ■finance, immigration, and -the break of the railway gauge, and arrived at a tentative agreement, which will be discussed at a special sitting of tho Conference on Juno 19th.
