Germany has agreed to a postponement of the Spa Conference, which will now assemble 011 June 21st.

Ti:c cyclone ne ir'y obliterated the villages of Fontaine and Bonneleau. The Belgian Foreign Minister, explaining the rupture of negotiations with Holland, stated i'-'it .since 1839 Holland had demanded sovereignty oyer the Wielingen Channel, commanding the approaches to Zcebrugge, •which was the maritime base of Belgium's defence. President Wilson received Sir Auckland Geddes, British Ambassador to Washington, who said it was the unanimous wi-jh and hope of the British peoples, wherever thev might be, that the relation of friendship with tho people of the United States should be strengthened and developed.
