Amazing disclosures have been made regarding a, modern Bluebeard wlio went under various names —Gordon, Hurst, Harvey, Williamson, and Andrews. Twonty-fxvo weddings have been definitely traced, and it is believed there have been scores of others. Five "brides" are missing, and it is supposed they were murdered for the sake of the insurance which was apparently Bluebeard's specmlitv. He operated in most big American and Canadian towns, r His "wives'' seldom saw him after the honevnwon. Bluebeard is now in hospital in a serious condition, as a result of two attempts to commit suicide.
