A lad named Clifford Holden, aged fourteen years, employed bj U. IJon nington, Ltd., chem sts, living a * 65 Kilmore street, lost control &££.«?«» s pital as an out-patient. SEAMAN'S DEATH. Shortly before 8 a.m. yesterday, the body of Frank Peter Bolton, aged about nineteen years, a seaman late J employed in the Pateena, vvas found hanging from a tree in Haglcy 1 ai kAn inquest was held yesterday afternoon, at tliQ Magistrate's Courthouse, before Mr V. G. D.iy, District Coroner. Walter Baker, a sergeant in the Salvation Ariry, stated tliat the deceased had ;;n inmate of the Salvation Army Home at Addington for about a week. He was out of work. The condition of his mind was not too good. He told witness on Tuesday that he had had a row with his father. "Witness last saw him alive at D.30 p.m. 011 Tuesday, when the latter was shaving. jack Powell Dean, an electrical wireman, stated that he had known deceased for about a week. Witness and deceased shared a room at the Home. Witness last saw the deceased alive at 8.45 p.m. on Tuesday, the latter being then apparently going to bed. 'When witness" returned to his room, after being absent for a short period, the deceased had disappeared. The latter struck witness as being distressed. Samuel Frederick Wilson, salesman, stated that lie was called into the Park yesterday morning, and found the body of the deceased hanging by the neck to a tree. The body, when cut down, was pulseless and cold. i Sergeant David Stewart stated that ho was called to the Park by the previous witness a.t 8 a.m., and there found the body of the deceased in a state of rigor mortis. On the body was a seaman's discharge t from the Pateena, with deceased's name on it. A verdict was returned that the deceased committed suicide by hanging himself while temporarily insane. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELfeGRAMS.) TE KUITI, April 21. A child named Crossman, aged two, died on the second express last night between Frankton Junction and To Awamutu. Tho child was reported to have been • suffering from whooping cough, aiul choked. The parents, it is understood, recently arrived from Canada. DUXEDTNT. April 21. The body of Adele Heonan, a widow, aged sixty-eight, waa found in the harbour near her residence, Broad Bay, yesterday. At the inquest a verdict of "found dro;.vned" was returned. PALMERSTON NORTH, April 21. A fatality oceurrcd to-dnv near the Awapuni racecourse, a single man, Neil Neilsen, of Shannon, being killed by a racahorsc. Neilsen was riding a motorcycle, and had t<3 pass a racehorse ridden by a lad. The horse shied and lashed out, kicking Neilsen on the forehead and inflicting a deep gash. He died almost immediately. IN VERCAR GILTj, April 21. William Patterson, a retnrned soldier 24 years of age, while working amongst tho wool at the Mnkarewa works to-dav, fell down a four-storcy lift. Internal hemorrhage resulted in his death in hospital about four hours afterwards.
