SYDENHAM METHODIST CIRCUIT. . ■ __ 1 At the quarterly meeting of the Sydenham Methodist Circuit the, Eev. \V. Beckett presided. The chairman extended a hearty welcome . to the* new members, Messrs A. 'Black and A. Sharp. The- membership returns, shoved a decrease. Satisfaction was expressed at the action of the conference in attaching the High street church »to the Circuit. The balance-sheet ehowed a debit "balance, and it was decided to make a special effort u> liquidate- the amount. The meeting reluctantly decided to dispense with, the services of a deaconess. Reports were received from the; Sunday School and Christian Endeavour Societies. "Mr A. Black was appointed home mission treasurer and secretary, •Mt P. Fahensfeldt foreign mission eecret&ry, and Mr L. .Berry treasurer. Messrs Dobbs and "Wright were elected circuit stewards. Mr J. Kay, the retiring circuit steward, ■was thanied for his services.
