A FAREWELL DANCE.

The dancc given by Mrs Bernard Wood and Miss Beatrice Wood on. Thursday night, in farewell of Miss Hope Wood, was a delightful affair. The dance took pla.ce at Mrs Bernard Wood's home in Papanui, and' the fuests danced in the drawing-room, the ig doors of which opened out on to a verandah lit with Chinese lanterns, and showing the garden illuminated in the same way. The suppor-room was decorated with pink flowers, and the lights had pink shades. Mrs Wood ■wore a lovely gown of silver tissue and grey tulle, with a wide belt of cerise shot with silver. Afis* Bee Wood was in lemon-coloured crepe georgette relieved with blue tissue. The guest of honour wore black net embroidered in silver.
