HARBOUR BOARD ELECTIONS.
« In connexion with the election for the Lyttelton Harbour Board tho Port Christchurch League k giving its support to Messrs E. J. Howard, M.P., and Joe. C. Free for the combined districts of Paparua, Ta-wera, Malvern, Springs, Ellosmere, Hcathoote, Spreydon, Ha Is well, and Selwyn, and to Mr W. J. "Walter for Waimairi and Riccarton. Mr J. C. Free contested the Ellesmere seat prior to the last ejection and was defeated by a very narrow margin. Mr E. J. Howard, Al.P.'s, • handling -of local politics with the lantern wns a feature' of the last election. Mr W. J. Walter is a j sitting member for Waimairi and liiccarton on the Harbour Board. He is also a member of the Tramway Board. Messrs E. J. Howard, and J. C. Free will address meetings' in the Coronation Hall, Domain road, Spreydon, on Tuesday next, at Southbridso on Friday, and at Lecston on Tuesday week.
