Croxton is 34 years of Rgc, and is emnloyed in the Technical Education Branch of the Education Department at Wellington. Ho has bcefl shooting for tho past 11 years, first with tho Wellington Navals, and later with the Karori Rifle Club, the championship whereof he annexod in 1913. In 1915 he won tho nawko's Bay championship, and twice previously, in 1913 and 1914, climbed into tho "King's Fifty" at Trentham. Croxton, who does not tschow a pipe, is regarded as a sound, all-round marksman. Other matches decided to-day wero: — SERVICE CHAMPIONSHIP.' Gray (Trentham) .. .. 22 The following 1 , with scores of 20, tako 33s 4d each:—J. Te Whaiti (To Aharangi), S.S.M. Levy (Trentham), and A. G. Devore (Akarana). The gold medal for the Grand Aggregate in the service and belt series was won by "W. H. West (Blenheim), the runner-up beinff H. V. Croxton (Karon), thus reversing the positions they hold as leader and runner-up in the aggregate for the King's Prize. (special to "the press.") TRENTHAM! March 10. The Service and Belt Championships wore decided to j iay. In each of these Canterbury was interested, as in tho fifty firing for the Service Championship there were eight Canterbury men, viz., Henry, Mcintosh, Sandford, Halmshaw, and Caughlcy, of Christchurcli; Bryden and Foster, of Kaiapoi; nnd Neill, Waihao Downs. Of these Milmshow got eleventh place and Sandford thirteenth. In the fifty highest aggregates for tho King's Prize there wore five Canterbury men —H-" -r is 5C2, Pimm <98. FoH«n 401. Snnd-'o'd 477, Henry 475, and D. J. Guiney 499, wbo bofore going to the front was a member of the Chri3tchurch Rifle Club. Most of tho Canterbury men improved their position in tho final 6hoot at 1000 yards, and Guinoy, by fine shooting, camo up from tenth place to fourth place. At the presentation of prizes tho Christohurch Chib representatives got a great ovation when they went up to receive tho Islington Cup and other prizes, especially tho prize in the Champion Teams' Match, in which they had tied with Blenheim.
