Knibbs, tho Commonwealth Statistician, rend a paper before the Colonial Institute, ent'.tled "Statistics and National Destiny," affirming the necessity for adequate statistics for the determination of the nation's nlaoe in tho world's affairs, or the nation's drift in a rapidly changing world. Mr Knibbs advocated tho establishment of a National Statistics Bureau, to build up a conspectus of national and international affairs.
