The Assembly bns adjourned, l>ut it is anticipated thnt Mr Holman will appoint Alderman Riehnrds. Prior to the election the committee increased the Mayoral allowance to £1500, owing to tne advnnco in prices. [Alderman Ricli.irds was formerly a resident of Dtmedin.]
