LAST NIGHT'S MEETING.

Manning. • Tlie liieearton Borough Council wroto with reference to the estimated cost of fire protection for the borough which had been forwards from tho Kire Board. It was stated ( l ia; tho matter had been referred to a special committer, which would communicate with the Board later. S-upeiintendent Warner, in liis report, stated that tho total number of calls from November fit!) to Deoombcr 4th was 25.
