Tho levy outstanding amounted to £1215 1* Id. The Curator, Mr James Young, in his report, outlined the work that had been done at the gardens during tho psst month. He reported also with reference _to the grating of horses belonging to tho cricket clubs that tho park ranger had repeatedly instructed the caretaker to keep the within the enclosed area*, trot this hod not been done. Tho curator TKiusctcd that the Board give the cricket caretakcr instructions to keep the horses within tho areas set apart for cricket. Tho report was adopted, and it was decided to accede to the curator's suggestion. The Town Clerk wrote, stating that tho City Council would be agreeable to receding a deputation from the Board at 8 p.m. on the 22nd inst. in reference to tho pradua. ting up of the River Avon and the consequent Klcady decrease in tfie water supply thereof. The question of a higher wage for the gardeners employed by the Board was ow* cusped, the opinion beinir expressed that there was a necessity for this in view of tho high cost of living.
