CAPTAIN W. T. LLOYD. Captain William Thomas Lloyd, who died at the linwera Hospital, on November 27th, was a son of tho Into Air Edward Lloyd, of Cnshmorc. Ho left New Zealand with tho Main Body of tho N.Z.E.F., holding tho rank of quartermaster-sergeant. Subsequently securing his commission, ho rose to the rank of captain. Somo little timo ago ho returned in tho Tofun, and was aitachcd to B.ise Records, Wellington, as demobilisation officer, which position ho hold until the Inst transport left Grc*t Britain. Securing a month's demobilisation leave he went to visit a brother in Hawern, whero ho contracted pneumonia, with fatal results. Tho lata Captain Lloyd, who was 36 years oi ago, was well known and highly respected in Christchurch. Ho will be accorded a military funeral to-morrow. Tho death occurred at tho District Hospital, Wnipukurau, of Mr Carey Montgomery West. The deccnßed wM I fifty years of age, and had no relatives in tho Dominion. He had long service to his credit in the British Army, nnd hnd attnincd tho rank of major. Ho Tved throughout with the British Forces in tho South African War. Ifr ill in m Waterhoiise, of Taradale, died last week, aged 76 years. The dereneed was a native of Burwnsh, Sussry, Knplnnd, and came to tho Dominion in 1874. scttline in Taradale in Hie following rear.
