A Republican movoraent in Roumania is threatening the Dynasty. [Tho King of Rouraania is Ferdinand von Holiensollern, born August 2-1 th, IMS, a nephew of the lata Ring Carol, whom ho suoceoded on October 11th, 1914. Ho was married on January iOtJi, 1893, <o Princess Mario, daughter of the Duke of Snxe-Coburg and Gotha. The union of tho two Principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia was publicly proclaimed nt Bucharest and Jassy on December 23rd, 1891, tho present nnma being giren to the united provinces. Tho fint ruler of Ronnwuria was Colonpj who had been clected Lord of Wallachia and of Moldavia in 1859, and who assumed -tho eoTornment under tho title of Prince Aloxandru Joan I. A revolution in February, 1866, forced hrm to abdicate, and led to the election ot. rnnro Carol 1., who reigned as 1860 to 1881, and aa King from 1881 to 1914.1 8 REFUSAL TO EVACUATE HUNGARY.
