LIVE UP WHERE THE SUN SHINES.
NEW HILLSIDE SUBURB. ; It is a. long while since the Christchurch public had the opportunity oi securing hillside sections close to the car at auction prices. "\Ve understand that an opportunity is to be afforded our readers at an early date, of getting in on the ground floor on a very promising subdivision at St. Martin's which is to be sold by auction by Messrs Jones, McCrostie, Co.. .Ltd., in conjunction with Ronald S. Badger, on December. 19th. This block adjoins the tramline at St. Martin's, and, being within tho threepenny car section, thus offers a unique advantage, besides which, such city conveniences as elcctric light and high-pressure water will also bo available. A new and well graded road which affords an easier grade even than Hackthorne road, is now in course of construction, and should be finished about the end of tho yccir. A unique feature lies in the fact that tho vendors are providing a recreation ground which it is proposed shall bo laid down as tennis and croquet courts.. for tho benefit of purchasers in the estate. ■The terms of sale are easy, and. as this is tho last easy graded hilisido spur near the city and adjacent to tho cars, tho sections will undoubtedly bo in great demand, especially in view of the drift of our population towards the Hills, as it is" becoming widely recognised that tho foggy flats have many disadvantages as against a hilisido dwelling with its abounding sunshine and almost total absence of fog and frost. Our readers will therefore be well advised to make n. point of being at this sale in order that they may then live up where tho sun shines. Plans, which will -bo available shortly, will bo obtainable cither from tho Auctioneers or Ronald S." Badger, 187 Manchester street. 5
