IMMERSION OR SPRINKLJNG. (TRESS ASSOCIATION TEJiXGBAU.I AUCKLAND, October 14. The Auckland Presbytery decided tonight to refer tho inucxi-discussed caso of tho Rev. A. A. Murray in regard to his reccnt baptism by immersion by a Baptist minister, to the General Assembly for judgment, on the grbundi' that in sucn a caso of diiiiculvy, the' Assembly, and not tho Pjesoytery,! tftoulrl decide; further, that owing toj the feeling in regard to Mr Murray, both in the Presbytery and in the community, a change of venue is desirable. I A conference was recently held be-' twecn tho Presbytery (Jommittee and Mr Murray, as u. result of which tho : committee reported—iiorn now on Air , ! iMurray cannot see liis way to baptise iinlants. but will not put any obstacle tin the way of those who wisn baptism for their infants, and is prepared to arrange with a brother minister to officiate. Mr Murray wishes to have liberty to baptise by immersion anyone who has been sprinkled in infancy,! and who. now considers that baptism' invalid. Infant baptism is not valid to Mr Murray, but he believes it is valid I to those who believe in it. *
