The ironfounders' strike has been settled, the employers agreeing not to reduce the present Bcale of wages before September, 1920,, and the union postponing an application for a further advance tintil after the Arbitration Board's next periodical decision. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE. (Received October 13th, 7.55 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 13. Through the Secretary for Labour, Mr Wilson announced that the proposed International Labour Conference would merely convene and receive the credentials of the delegates on October 29th, unless the Treaty wag ratified, giving the requisite powers, by that date. TURMOIL~IN FRANCE. (Received October 14th, 1.15 a.m.) PARIS, October 13. Six thousand metal workers rioted on Saturday night, battering in shops. Troops. charged tho rioters, who cried "Vive la "Revolution! Viyent les Soviets I", Similar .troubles are reported in Marseilles.
