TRANS-CONTINENTAL FLIGHT.

A message from Mineola states that Major Spatz and Lieutenant Kiel, American entrants in fho air race, completed the trip from San Francisco in tho order named. It is announced that all the flyers havo beon ordered not to begin "tho return trips until October 20th. FRANCE TO~AUSTRAUA. PARTS, October 11. Poulet received all the neccssary documents from London and departed full of oonfidenco. He hopes to arrive in v Melboiirno about November 10th. Ho is accompanied by his mechanic Bonoit. Later. Poulet returned owing to fog, and engine trouble necessitated his roturn after a second start. ANOTHER START. (Received October I3th, 7.55 p.m.) PARIS. October 12. Poulet started for Melbourne at 7 p.m. on Saturday. (Received October 13th, 9 p.m.) PARIS. October 13. Poulet had an unlucky start. He only flew about fifty kilometres and then returned to await better weather. It is estimated his trip to Australia will cost about £4000.
