1 AUCKLAND WEST SEAT. (press association telegram.) AUCKLAND. October 13. Mr C. H. Poole, M.P., having announced his decision not to again contest the Auckland West seat, for private reasons, Mr A. J. Entrican, a lending merchant and Deputy-Mayor, will stand for the seat as a Progressive Liberal. WAIRAKAPA SEAT. (TRESS ASSOCIATION TKT.Er.RAM.I CARTERTON. October 13At a representative meeting of sottiers, held here to-dnjr, it was decided to support the candidature of Mr A. D. McLeod, of "Mnngapari,'' Martinborough, for ¥Re Wairarapa seat, in the Reform interests lat tho general election. Mr McLeod has been chairman of the Featherston County Council for the past 17 years. He has consented to nomination. WAKATIPU SEAT. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TET,EORAM.) DUNEDTN, October 13 Sir "William Eraser having intimated that he will not contest the Wakatipu seat at the general election. Mr A. Ashworth, fruitgrower, of Alexandra, is announced as a candidate for the seat in the Liberal-Labour interest.
