A "TWO-UP SCHOOL."
CLEVERLY RAIDED BY POLICE. (press association telegram.) WANGANUI. October 13. The police yesterday raided a twoTip ' school at Castlecliff. As' a result about forty men will bo prosccuted. The school was known to be in existence for some months past. Tho site was a depression iu a secluded spot behind some pine trees. The police faced great difficulties, as sentries were well posted. The police therefore • planned and built dug-outs, the work being carried out stealthily at night. A watcli was set on tho school for .several Sundays from the dng-outs, tho pjay and players being photographed. Yesterday the polico sprang, tlicir trap and emerged from thoir hiding-placet) after tho,. play had been watched for a couple of hours. The sclipol, consisting of twenty-seven players, at once broke up in'wild confusion.
