Frederick Sceten, for a breach of his prohibition order was fined 40s and costs, in default H days' imprisonment. Robert Henry Edgeworth admitted three cliarges of having broken his prohibition order. Sentence v-as deferrod for a week. TRESPASS. Hugh Dotmghy, who did not appear, was sentenced to 21 days' imprisonment with hard labour for tree passing on hig wife's premises whilo a separation order was in force. MAINTENANCE. Joseph Collins (Mr Cuthbert) was ordered to pay bis wife, Margaret Collins (Mr Cuningham) maintenance at tho rat© of £1 por week. RANGIORA. i (Before M r T. A. 13. Bailey, S.M.) James Henry Price, licensee of tho Ashley Hotel, charged with having sold liquor after closing hours to John Carroll, W. Dermott, and James Lundy, on Juno 20th, was fined 40s and costs. John Henry Price, charged with exposing liquor for sale after hours, was fined 40a and oosts. Adelaide Price (wife of John Henry Price), for supplying 1 liquor to John Cunie, W. Dermott, and James Irandy, after hours, was fined 40s and costs. t J. Johnston and Sons (Mr van Agch) claimed from D. W. Heid (Mr Johnston) £1 Its 3d for petrol supplied. A counter claim was rondo by P.-eid for £4 8s for petrol stored, and which Johnston and Co. alleged lihd been stolen from the store. Judgment was given for plaintiff for tho amount claimed, and tho counter claim was disallowed. F. B. Laivj (CTcecrutor in the estate of tho late .t>lis B. J. Alford) claimed from' J. Robinson £14 19s 6d on a judgment summons. An order was made for immediate payment, in default 14 days' imprisonment. KAIAPOI. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, 5.M..) On a charge of attempting to commit suicide bv hanging at East EyTeton, William Sandford pleaded not, guilty. The oharge was dismissed. J. A. Burnip, charged with being on 'ictnscd premises after hours, satisfactorily xslained that ho was there on business. The •hnrge was dismissed. W. D. Barrett (Mr Sargent) pleaded guilty ' o a charge of unlawfully assaulting Matatau Kurti (Mr Alpers), and was convicted and ordered to pny expenses and costs amounting to £39 0s lOd.
