The Christehurch Licensing Commit-

tee sat yesterday. Present —Messrs S. E. McCarthy, 6.M. (chairman), H. Holland, K. Mathicson, H. B. Gould, and I. C. Field.

Transfers were granted from Jeannie So up or to George Pentecost Payne, in respect to the Clarendon Hotel (Mr Hoban), and from Robert Henry Powell to James Hay ward Franks, in respect to the Prince of Wales Hotel (Mr Cassidy).
