EX-SERVICE MEN.
PREFERENCE OF EMPLOYMENT. (By Cable.—Fnw Association.— Copyright.) (Anßtiwwn «md N.Z: Ca-blo Association.) (Received June 9th, 7.10 p.m.) LONDON, Juno 9. Sir R. S. Home, in a letter, states that as a result of Mr Llcyd George's solicitude, employment exchanges have been instructed to give preference to ex-service men for employment in their trades. A scrutiny of the Government offices is proceeding with a view to finding vacancies for demobilised men. Consultations are being arranged with the Trade Advisory in order to provide a certain proportion ff disabled men with employment in each trade.
