Playing against Surrey, the Australians, with seven wickets down for 553, declared their innings closed (Pellow retired hurt 10S, . Lampard 112). ■ Surrey made 128 for five wickets in their second innings. Tho match was drawn. P. F. Warner, discussing the merits of the Australian cricketers, predicts that they will prove a far stronger team than people imagine.
