TOWN-PLANNING.
EXHIBITION WELL PATRONISED. Tho exhibition of photographs, prints, and plans dealing with town-planning, made under the joint auspices of the Christchurch City Counccil and the Canterbury Progress League, in the Art Gallery, was largely attendee! yesterday. The special invitation extended to school children to visit the exhibition was extiemely well responded to, tho attendance during the morning and afternoon being especially good. All who attended yesterday appeared to take keen interest in the exhibits, many spending much time in a thorough examination of them. It is safe to say that the inspection of the exhibits and the explanations givem by Mr B. F. Kelly, of the Government architect's office, havo done more to bring home to people what town-planning really means than any amount of rendinc would havo done. As the Svdney boat will call at Lyttolton. it will not be necessary to send the exhibits by tho ferry steamer to Wellington for shipment to SydneyConseouertlv the exhibition will remain open till 9.30 this evening.
