RUTHLESS SUPPRESSION

The Berlin correspondent of the "Daily Chroniclo" writes that the retaking of Munich involved 400 deaths, ■while 1000 were wounded. The material darnago is estimated at £15,000,000. Fivo thousand peoplo were arrested, including Dr. Kurt Eisner's widow, who was charged with harbouring and assisting the lied leaders.
It is confirmed that twenty-two hostages were shot by the Communists, including Prince Thurn-ot-Taxis and the Countess Westarp. The hostages wore given a few minutes to write farewell letters, and were then taken to a oourtyard and placed in a row close to a firing party consisting of 200 soldiers. Dumdum bullets were used, and the bodies were frightfully mutilated. LEIPZIG OCCUPIED. (Received May 13th. 9 p.m.) BERLIN, May 10. Government troops occupied Leipzig and arrosted the Spartacist leaders.
