SUCCESSFUL METHOD OF TREATMENT.
♦ In view of the seriousness of the situation should influenza once more appear in our midst, a "Press" reporter has been making enquiry concerning the best method of combating the disease. It was soon found tnat "Comenthol" was used with signal success during the November outbreak. Messrs Bornett and Co., the well-known chemists in Cathedral square, are tho manufacturers of "Comenthol," whose suocess has been followed by the usual crop of imitations, some of them using a name so striking in their similarity as to betray the imposition immediately. "Comenthol" is a preparation of unusual merit, which has the merit of simplicity in use. It can be used either as a preventive or as a curative treatment. The method is to drop a few drops on the palms of the hands, rub together, and then inhale the fumes, A which have the effect of sterilising tho! passages at the' back of the nose and" the throat. "Comenthol" is_ a registered name, and people requiring it are recommended to De sure to obtain the genuine article. All medical authorities are agreed as to the efficacy of the antiseptic throat gargje. This is a simple preventive, and when the right gargle is used the effect is certain. Barnett and Oo.'s "Antiseptic Carbolic Gargle" is specially prepared to- combat colds ana influenza, and is strongly recommended. People who, through neglecting preventive measures, find themselves attacked by the complaint, should take Influenza Cure," stocked and recommended by Barnett and Co. The cost of the .whole outfit is small: ''Comenthol," Is 6d per bottle; "Antiseptic Carbolic Gargle," 2s 6d: "Harpers Influenza Cure," 2s. Householders and' heads of families would be well advised!to lay in .a store, of these simple and inexpensive medicineß. ' ' 1
