THE ARAWA'S RETURN-

TO ARRIVE ON THURSDAY

The Hon. (■. . Russell announced yesterday that a message had been received from the Aiawn, which stated that she would —in all probability arrive in Lyttclton on Thursday morning. . It is stated that the ship has a clcan bill, of health, and -Air Russell hopes that there "ill therefore be no delay in the berthing of the vessel. As the responsibility of the Public Health Department, he said, was entirely distinct from that of the Defence Department, it would be necessary for a special examination of the troops, passengers, and crew to be made by the Health Department officers so' that they would be entirely satisfied as to the" position.
