The readings taken at the main weather station at 9 a.m. yesterday were;— Barometer, 30.25; thermometer, max. 57, min. 36; frost, 3deg. The rainfall at Puaha for April, aa recorded by Mr J. Hartz, was 3.40 inches. xtain fell on six dayß, maximum fall, 2.50 in, being on the 9th, SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Cold and fair to cloudy weather has ruled with decreasing southerly winds. Atmospheric pressure has continued high aver the Dominion. I Present indications are for southerly j breezes changing to freshening westerlies and northerlies shortly, the weather fair with in* creasing cloudiness, and rain following in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island.
