The following anecdote is related of a high official in the British Ministry of Munitions "who was enticed into _ a bazaar: "Why don't yon buy something at my table?" enquired a fair stallholder. "Because I only bay from the homely girls," said the man. "They have a harder time making sales.'' The girl smiled; and he went on working the game excuse all down the line.
