LIXWOOD CLUB. The closing cercmony in connexion with the Linwood Bowling Club too;: p.ace on Saturday afternoon, the whole eignt rinks being fully occjpied, Rinks from Opawa and Beckenham wero engaged in friendly rivalry. A rxnk representing tho Avonaitle Church choir played a return match with the congregation. During tho afternoon the members gathered in the pavilion, tho president (Mr J. R. Brunt) presiding. 'i'iio principal business was the appointment o' the green superintendent for tho ensuingyear. The present officer, Mr Hy. Bursoii, was elected unanimously.
