FRENCH AND SOUTH AFRICAN TOURS. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, April It is considered that a New Zealand team: will tour South Africa. Negotiations are progressing in London and Paris with a view "to arranging for French and South African Rugby teams to tour Australia and New Zealand during the coming season. CANTERBURY RUGBY LEAGUE. A general meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Rugby League was held on Saturday evening, Mr A. E. Hooper presiding. / An application for tho removal of a disqualification imposed received no support. It was decided that the fifth grade competition be commenced on May 10th. Mr O. B. Hardingham was elected the Hornby representative on the Classification Committee in place of Mr F. Winter. A resolution that any member who returned from active service be enabled to play on the following Saturday without the seven days' registration notice being received by the general secretary, was adopted. On the motion of the chairman, it was agreed that the attention of the referees be drawn to tho necessity of filling in a correct list of players with initials. Tha following are tho fixtures, grounds, and referees for Saturday:— First Division—Hornby v. Sydenham, at Sydenham Park. Mr A. Morris! Linwood v. Federal, at St.' Albans Park, Mr H. Ormandy; Addington a bye. Second Division —Federal v. Hornby, at Riccarton Domain, Mr C. Tilleyshort; Linwood v. Woolston, Linwood Park, Mr C. McLachlan; Sydenham v. Addington, Beckenham Park, Mr T. Madden; Avon a bye. Third. Division —Addington v. Linwood 8., South Park, Mr Gaskell; Avon A. v. Woolston St. Albans Park, Mr C. Eaton; Temple ton v. Sydenham, at Templeton Domain, Mr Fal?ar; Avon B. v. Hornby, at Hornby, Mr 'H. Dann; Linwood A. a hjo. Fourth. Division —Sydenham A. v. Sydenham 8., Sydenham Park, 1.45 p-m-,_ Mr Lyes; Woolston A. v.
