A SLAV ATTACK. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright i (Australian and N./i. Cable Association.J PARIS, April 25. The Czecho-Slovaks attacked "Waitzen, about 20 miles north-east of Budapest. ROUMANIANS DEFEATED. (United Service.) (Received April 27th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 25. Reports from Vienna state that an army of 180,000 Czecho-Slovaks lias reached the Hungarian frontier. The Roumanians continue to advance. The Transylvanians are co-ojierating with them. Advices from Budapest state that the Roumanians, attacking in Transylvania, were defeated with heavy loss, and retired to tho eastern frontier line. ACCESSION OP STRENGTH. (Received April 28th, 12.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 27. Twenty thousand Bolshevists, mostly Russians from Kasan, who surrendered near Ivieff, have joined the Roumanian Army. DR. WEKERLE'S DEATH. (Reuter'a Telegram*.) LONDON, April 25. Advices from Vienna state that Dr. Wekerle died in prison in Budapest. He was not murdered. APPEAL TO ENTENTE. (Received April 27th. 5.5 p.m.) COPENHAGEN. April 26. In response to the Budapest Government's appeal to the Entente to suspend hostilities, the Entente representative in Paris has sent a British military mission from Vienna to Budapest to investigate.
