FIRE BRIGADES' DEMONSTRATION
ADDINGTON WINS SHIELD. The Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigadce , Association's demonstrations at Lyttelton were concluded yesterday afternoon, when tho Five-men Beol event was decided. Three teams, representing Addinglon Railway, Geraldine, and A&hburton, competed on Monday last, and the remainder of the competitions were postponed until yesterday owing to wet weather. The Lyttelton team proved the -winners, beating the second team e time by ten seconds. Results:— LyttoLton '54 4-ssec, Sumnor 64 3-ss«c, Ad-dmgton Bailways 6Ssec, Chrifltchurch. Bailway 70 4-seec, Geraldine 72 3-seec.
