Kthel Parker, charged with ths thsft nt' New Brighton ot an overcoat valued at £5, the property of Alison Strand, was remanded until the 2Sth inst., bail in £cO being illowed. ASHBUItTON. (Before Mr.V. G. Day, S.M.) Huth Dalberp (Mr Buchanan) claimed from S. Ciofts (Mr Kennedy) £i 4s for an overcoat. Judgment was givon for plaintiff ivith costs. The same plaintiff (Mr Buchanan) claimed from John Hickey (Mr Crisp) £5 7s 6d for a suit of clothes. Judgment was piven for plaintiff for £3, with costs. D. Herlihey claimed from J. J. O'Donne. 1 (Mr Kennedy) ..€lO, balance of i>26 held in trust for plaintiff's son and to be paid to plaintiff in instalments. Defendant gave verbal evidence and produced a letter from the so:\ showing that the money vraa being paii over to plaintiff strictly in accordance with instructions.
