(By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright, (Renter'a Telegram*.} (Received Anril 24th, 9.50 p.m.) 'LONDON, April 10. Tho latest oflicial reports trom the t'unjab state that two British officers wore injured, a soldier killed, and the Treasury attacked at Kasu. At Amritsar, on the 13th inst., a mob defied tho proclamation forbidding meetings. Firing ensued, causing two hundred casualties. Disorderly elements in the rural areas nro damaging Government property, and looting trains.
At Delhi, when tho shops were reopening, a Mohammedan mob interfered. Tho police were obliged to fire, scattering tho mob. Fonr^ police were injured. Tho city, which is now quiet, is being Dntrollcd by troops. On tho North-West frontier, on the 13th inst.. an attempt was made to closo the shops jn Peshawar. A maps meeting was held, Hindus participating, at which a boycott of British goods was urged. No disturbances occurred. Calcutta is normal. The Moderates have issued a manifesto condemning passive resistance, and deploring the recent events. Bombay is quiet, but there is suppressed excitement among tho Mohammedans. A meeting of the Ulema is to l»e held on the 2oth.
