According to the London papers of January, very satisfactory reports are. to hana concerning the prospects British trade in Siberia. As far as manufactured, goods are concerned, almost everything will find a ready sale iri that country, more especially agricultural and mining .machinery, hardware, and paints. There is said to be no possible risk in selling goods' in Siberia, banking facilities being'all that could be desired. There is a British bank in. Vladivostok, with h second which, although supposed to bo a Russian concern, is largely controlled- by British capital. The Royal Bank of Canada is also about to open a branch there. Another satisfactory feature is that all the financial institutions arc sympa-> thetie to the Allied cause.
