OBITUARY.
Mil WILLIAM MURRAY

DUNEDIN, March 14. Cable advice has been received in Dunedin of tho death in London, on the 6th inst., of Mr William Murray, of Messrs Murray, Roberts, and Co., New Zealand, and Sanderson, Murray, and Co., London.
Mr L. T. Reichel, whose death occurred at Island Bay, Wellington, on Thursday, wns formerly Government electrician, and was well known as the inventor of the Reichel automatic fire alarm and several other inventions. Born at Orepuki (Southland), ho went to Wellington 24 years ago, and five years later he was appointod Government electrician, which position he relinquiphed to go abroad and exploit his various inventions. He was a prominent momber of the Catholic Church, and took an active interest in tho St. Vincent de Paul Society, the New Zealand Catholic Federation, and the 'Catholic Club's Debating Society. Three years ago his health broke down, and his death was not unexpected. He leaves a widow (daughter of tho late Mr David Scanlon), but no family.
