The Government has decided that men invalided from the war shall be retained by the Defence Department until they are medically fit. Thoy will receive vocational training by the Repatriation Department. PETERSHAM BY -ELECTION. SYDNEY. March 12. Cabinet has decided not to interfere with the Petersham by-election nominations. TRIPLE TRAGEDY. (Received March 12th, 9.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 12. A triple tragedy is feared at "Watson's Bay Gap, where clothing found at the top of the cliff indicated that Mrs Hart and her two children, who have disappeared, had gone over. The baby's body was subsequently recovered in the harbour. TROUBLESOME GERMANS. (Received March 12th, 9.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 12. The German internees at Holdsworthy continuo to give trouble. Five escaped during the past week. The guard fired at two others endeavouring to get through the wire, and wounded one. Both surrendered.
