YEARS WITHOUT NEWS.
LONDON, December 10. A few Australian and British soldiers who were held prisoner in desolation at Yuggud, a town of Asia Minor, in tho vilayet of Angora, have arrived in Constantinople (writes Mr E. R. Peacock, special commissioner 'to tho Sydney "Sun"). Thev were dressed in tho oddest clothes made from sacking and blankets, and cut according to tho local Turkish tailors' ideas of Norfolk suits. They had been three years without news, and asked startling Rip Van Winkle questions, such as "Did the Australians and New Zealanders go to the West front?" "Who is Prime Minister?" Their sheer delight upon touching civilisation again is wonderful." Wo watch tbcm accommodating themselves to many comforts again, as though they had found heaven ou earth.
