Sir James Allen, speaking at Dunodin yesterday, in reference to women's right to sit in Parliament, said this undoubtedly would be brought up again next session. He voted against the pro. posal on the previous occasion, but he did not intend to vote against it again.
A quiet wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Napior, on Monday, the contracting parties being Sergt.-Major Charles Robert Henry, of the. Nanier Defence Staff, and Miss Agnes Vera Guthrie, Meeanee. Mr Eliaa Chegwidden was "best man, and Miss Isobel Guthrie, sister of the bride, bridesmaid. The Rev. Fathor J. Dowling officiated.
A very pretty wedding of considerable interest to Jvapier people, was solemnised on Monday at the Cathedral, the Very Rev. Dean Maync officiating. The- contracting parties were Mr John Douglas Scott, late of Wellington, and Miss Margaret Tonkin, daughter of the lato Captain Tonkin. The brido was given away by her brother, Mr Herrick Tonkin. The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret Laing and Miss. Hay Moeller, and Mr G. Nesbit was Ijest man.

BATHING SUITS. * Now that tiie summer is hero our thoughts naturally turu to tlio seaside and sea-battling, and thonce to our costumes, wiiicu get more oiaborate year by year. a very smart battling robe been the other day was composed of two largo Turkish towels, and rather cape-like in aspect. It liacl a Collar edged with a white fringe, which hung from a red border, and at the loot tins red border and fringe aiso appeared. A i'od cord starting from the sides drew the wrap togotner in front at the knees. The two towels were just joined at the ends on tho shoulders, a hole boing left in tho middle for the head to slip through. The cords attached to the back towel, in front fastened the whole together and completed the robe. A useful little cap was formed by a. plain length of material being gathered at ono end into a band, at eitner end of which were sown two buttons. At the other end the material was slit up, and tho ends were sewn into rings which como up and fasten over tho buttous on j the band. Another cap was formod of a j)iece of material cut in a semicircle, j which tailed off in two ends. A piece of elastic was run round the circular part, and the ends wore crossed at the back, and passed through two little slots, and tied in a smart little bow in front. Both caps were made of a light material, and can be worn over plain rubber caps.
