NORTH NEW BRIGHTON BURGESSES' ASSOCIATION. At the quarterly mooting of the ■ North Now Brighton Burgesses' Association Mr Thco. Cox presided. A letter was received from tho Hon. G. ff. Russell, stating that he had brought iTTo request for a re-valua-tion of the borough under tho notice of the Miniflter-in-Charge of that Department.' It was decided to write to. the Valuation Department relative to some apparent in* consistencies in reccnt valuations, also to the Borough Council regarding the inspection of objectionable buildings, and the failure of owners to keep sand from new footpath. A motion "That tho Association/ approach the West Brighton and "Waimairi Association with a view to amajgamation," was carried unanimously. Mr Leaver suggested that an effort be made to erect a band rotunda at North Beach, as a peace memorial. The proposal was approved, the building to bsconstructed to servo as a band rotunda and shelter for visitors. Mr Leaver, as chairman of last year's Gala Committee, was asked to call a meeting to arrange for a North Beach Gala.
